We thank God for our spiritual leaders (Reverends Arnold & Shelia Byrd), and their families. 
The Rev. Arnold and Shelia Byrd were called to minister at the Soul Saving Station Church in November of 1981. Rev. Byrd was installed the following year on May 29, 1982. They have been faithful servants of God, and have served this congregation, and this community with the love of God. In 1979, Rev. We thank God that Rev. Byrd accepted the invitation given him by our late Bishop Tate, who was led by the Holy Spirit to move in this direction to help with this ministry here.

The Rev. Shelia Byrd has served on many ministerial Dept’s (deaconess, Bible Teacher, Usher’s, Missionary) at the Headquarters church for many years. She also served as the President for Church Women United for two years(1986.-88). Currently she serves as co-pastor and church administrator for over fifteen years.
Rev. Arnold & Shelia Byrd are proud parents of five daughters, Wanda, Audrey, Stacy, Genevieve, and Justine, and four sons, Arnold II, Shawn, David, and Michael, and also eight grandchildren.
